Slight refresh of the header and board list.

    Hi, I come with a proposal.

    This change requires little work and improves the appearance of the forum.

    Removing the big header and moving the logo to the small header. Possibly making the menu bar lower. In addition, refreshing the list of topics as in the screenshot. It's proposition. What do you think?

    In my opinion, these are not big changes, but they improve the visual effect a lot. I would work on a better search engine. User icons are too big in my opinion.

    Let's not talk here about tastes, but about what is currently in fashion ui/ux. There is a move away from large headers in favor of small bars. Look at facebook, twitter or tiktok.

    Thanks for the mockups, I like it.

    The board list will get a visual overhaul with version 6.0, which also addressed some usability and a11y issues.

    A visual overhaul of the header is also planned for a future version (after 6.0). Mainly we want to separate the user panel from the main menu.

    Good news. In general, I would resign from a large header field in favor of a small header as it is on facebook, tiktok or twitter. And it's nice that the headline is already sticky.

    Of course it remains to be seen exactly how this "overhaul" will look when Version 6 is released - including of course the header

    at a later date and version.

    But if the appearance is something I do not like, I will select/purchase an alternative style -

    something like what is currently offered by cls-Design or ForoStyle.

    As for "fashion":

    What is in "fashion" does not always infer the appearance is "better", or will work out to be, practical!

    Changing something just for the purpose of what is currently "in" or is the current "rave", is not only silly but

    it can be down-right stupid!

    I still have a question, are there plans to introduce a light/dark version with a switch?

    I don't know if this is the best place to post this or if a new suggestion is better...

    Has an expanding search bar ever been tested internally? I think it looks more modern and can also be used in the mobile version.

    This should only be "modern" on sites were the search is a fundamental functionality such as shops and social media. A forum can be focused primarily on search, but the vast majority should be focused on building up a community and the search functionality is relatively small to that.
