Cloudfare problems. Do you use caching on your site?

    Just an update to this thread, but youtube videos are no longer displaying on my forum. As said, the caching is off and the only recent change was the update to the plug ins, as mentioned earlier.


    Anyone else having problems with videos? Pictures are displaying fine on my site, so I don't believe it is a permissions issue.

    I'm using cf for two years now and never got problems with yt videos so far.

    How long does it take CloudFlare to start working blocking DDoS attacks.


    My forum has been under them from some idiots past few days. So I stuck the forum behind CloudFlare yesterday and updated DNS named servers to them. But they are still managing the take the forum down. Does it take a while for CloudFlare to kick-in working doing it's job blocking DDoS attacks?

    As long as the attacker knows the real ip, the protection no longer works. So Cloudflare does nothing right now, because the attacker knows the real ip, because you switched.

    I have stopped using it and ended up buying the PremiumDNS service and currently switching over to that. It offers better DDoS protection over using standard NameCheap DNS servers

    Was not aware this setting was turned on. I had a new Firefox update last week, perhaps that changed things.

    I'm still left with the issue that if my members want to use my site, either they will have to disable tracking protection in Firefox, or whitelist my site. Seems an extreme move, not sure how I can communicate that to everyone and why this problem has suddenly occurred when everything has been fine up to now.
