    WoltLab Suite Forum

    Hello,

I'm looking with my problem with insert all , i would like to have the full image inserted and not the tumbnails .

Because we don't use tumbnails i desactivate the tumbnails in acp configuration message attachment and i hope to have the full image inserted ...

But the problem , with tumbnais desactivate , it is impossible to have a full image

    I have insert into message

    i click to insert

    and when i submit

    if i edit the post

I see the picture and the full image button and if i use the full image button to insert the 3 jpg

    It is normal ?

There is another way to have insert all with full image

  • Marc, I would like to know the answer to this too as I'm getting the same problem, but I think the reply will be its working as designed.

These days when you click a attach button on a forum, it in effect that means embed. So, the attachment button is doing exactly what the name suggests. It's attaching a file, but who uses that on a forum?

I clicked on the image button to see if I could embed a picture within a post, but it only gives you the option to link from another site rather than embed a picture from your local machine.

To attach aka embed, you need to click on the media button. Try it.

It was going to be my next suggestion, if this all could be rethought.

When I evaluated IPS, you click on attach and you get the upload box to select your picture(s) from your local machine and it embeds them into the post immediately, you don't even get a option to choose image size, which is good. Who wants a small image anyway and besides the software should resize pictures as preconfigured in the ACP? Hope Woltlab do this.

Oddly, I have found in this forum I have been able to attach aka embed using the attach button, but it's not working in this thread.8|

    Bizarre...?(

  • I should just add that I have disabled thumbnails the same as you, but I still get the option for them

  • Yep, your right, I can't insert all either:

Plus some pictures I had already uploaded to my gallery, I cannot re upload and embed into the posts. I'm getting a file size too big message, but if the file size was too big, how was I able to upload the same pictures into the gallery to begin with?

  • May I just add an additional issue to the attachment uploading problems?

One of my members has commented that they do not have room to insert text underneath a picture once a picture is attached/embedded into a post. I have told them to press the space bar to make room for text, but is there a way for the software to insert a blank line or two automatically when attaching, so that members can easily see thee is a area where they can still type under the pictures?

    Thank you

I suggest toopen a new thread for that, the Woltlab staff might not see that and this is an entire new issue.

But i support that of course ;)
