It does when there is only an image in clipboard, but it doesn't if you copy an image from within Chrome (right-click -> copy image), as it does something different. I have found an solution to support both modes though, will upload it soon.
I simply do not know how to do it...
I just captured a video to show it.

1. Open Editor
2. Copy an image from desktop(downloads)
3. Trying to past with strg+v or right click.
4. Does not work...

You cannot copy & paste raw files as shown in your video, browsers do not allow this for security reasons.
What you can do is copying the actual image to clipboard, e.g. when hitting the print key on your keyboard (Druck (Drucken) on German keyboards) it will create a screenshot and copy the raw image data to your clipboard. You can then proceed to paste that image in Paint, Word and now also right into the editor

I haven't checked it in Safari yet, but it should do just fine. Please let me know if you're experiencing any issues.
It doesn't work in safari on MacOS (recent versions). -

Thanks for clarifying.
I simply did not understand how to copy paste an image
Now tried it within the Chrome browser and it is working. -
Well, one thing i would like to change:
Use a spinner as placeholder instead of a transparent gif, the user should see that something is happening and it would be the same behavior like the attachment tab shows.
An other awesome thing would be the possibility to crop a pasted image before (or even after) the upload, as i see many, many users using this for screenshots and most of the time not the whole screen is necessary^^

Or should not be seen by others haha
(open tabs, programs in tab bar etc.)

That is SO COOL and I can not thank you enough for implementing it!
Thank you!!
