Thread and post numbers are way off

On the forum index page the thread and posts numbers are way off. As an example, in the "Discussion and Feedback" section there should be 33 threads and 124 posts as I type this, but there are actually only 5 threads and 17 posts (counting the first post in a thread).

The statistics are static for all posts and threads that are neither disabled nor deleted. On top of that it doesn't track the individual count per language, the other posts and threads are in German, but hidden for you.

The same issue exists on woltlab.com, but one simply doesn't notice it on forums that already have a few threads / posts.
