My forum's statistics are showing the wrong number for average daily posts after I did a statistics rebuild. Is there anyway I can get the correct number back? The number being shown now is off by a lot.

Statistics are wrong after rebuild

How do you know that it's incorrect now and that it hasnt been incorrect before?
-
you imported an other forum with maybe older posts and users (as far as i know).
the statistic depends on the age of a forum so maybe this is the reason for your changes ? -
The statistics are only showing an average of 2.7 posts per day, that's not even close to what is being posted. Even the forum that was imported months ago had a much higher average than that.

@PJK Check the wbb_install_date option in the wcf1_option table. The date is correct?
Yes, it is.No, it isn't. -
woltlab.com/pluginstore/file/1541/
Maybe you can find out with this plugin how "old" your forum ist (based on your first poost/thread)
THen you might get closer of finding the reason.
Or go to the Database wcf1_option wbb_install_date
And have a look what date is set here.
And then you need to fill this with the date you want to have it:
http://www.timestampgenerator.com/Affter that delete the options.inc.php and empty the cache.
EDIT:
Should not leave the tabs open for ever to answerthe install date does not seem to be correc t;)

Yes, it is.
and how old is it ?
Just to calculate the average manually... -
See my screenshot

I just installed it, and it's way off too. The plugins says "7 years, 10 months, 3 weeks, 5 days, 22 hours and 28 minutes ago".
-
The plugin uses the info from install_date
Are you 100% sure its correct set in the database ? -
I was wrong when I replied to @Aethior. The install date is completely off.
Affter that delete the options.inc.php and empty the cache.
What is the purpose of the options.inc.php file and is it safe to delete it?
-
It is safe to delete.
It will generate itself. You would need to delete it to see the change right away (and emptying the cache)
-
Thank you @Throwholics, it is fixed now.
The average posts per day was always off and I never paid attention to it before (before it went to 2.7 a day
).

Then there is something that changes your insall date (which is usually after one uses the rebuild data).
Rebuild data refreshes everything and checks for the oldest post. The oldest post will then be entered as a value in the install_date field. So if oyu would rebuild data again the error might come back.
-
The install date is calculated by simply using the time from the oldest post it could find. As such it doesn't matter at which point the software was installed, only how old the posts are matters, otherwise these stats after imports would be always wrong.

The oldest post (which would be my first post) has the correct date.

This is the oldest post on my forum https://admin-hub.com/thread/9-welcome-to-admin-hub/ , it is dated December 15th, 2015. The install date after the rebuild showed a date that was off by more than 7 years.

That's odd. How is that possible when the forum was installed until the middle of December, 2015?
