After talking to Alexander, it turns out, that i have to wait for WCF 2.2 before it works completely, how i want. But before i can continue my work, i have to get a new computer. So... Fine
-
So WCF 2.2 will be MySQL 5.5+?
-
Glaub schon dass bei nem commit gelesen zu haben.
Finde den aber grade nciht..Man kann bei github ja nicht suchen nach commits oder?!

Has nothing to do with the MySQL support. I made Emojis work on MySQL < 5.5, that's not the problem@Throwholics

How will they be stored in the database then?
-
He could use an bbcode to store them without usage of 8bit characters.
I'll already thought about this option, parsing all emojis and replacing them should be possible, and using just a number or something like this instead of a 8bit character -
Suggest you raise your standard to MySQL 5.6
I hope they don't because my server just checking is on MySQL 5.5.41-cll-lveDon't jump to the conclusion that everyone is running on 5.6

5.5 is acceptable. 5.6 is backward compatible to it, so I have no issue if the default is 5.5
But 5.0 or 5.1 is something they should move away from... All the major name brand host that I have encountered use newer versions... That isn't to say they don't have a few old stock servers for those people who "need" older builds, but they're not where people are placed by default (including new customers).

FYI: I just started to continue my work on the emoji extension. However, i've made it from scratch

You know I'll be more than happy to test that when you're ready
edit: Open Emoji keeps themselves current... Unicode V7.0 Emoji List http://emojione.com/
Their license also allows anyone to use their emoji's for any reason
