retroactive censor list

  • App
    WoltLab Suite Forum

So the censor list isn't retroactive. That means if I discover people have been saying X, Y, Z, I actually have to track them down and edit them. As far as I know, every development that I have encountered is retroactive in that if I add something to the censor list, what has already been posted will be replaced with ******

I would like to suggest that this be added into Wotllab.

  • And example of why you may wish for a retroactive censor list is to also help in spam management.

Let us assume you have 1 or 2 harmless post containing a particular link. This in of itself appears harmless at first, until you notice the link is slowly being plastered all over the place, shared, and re-shared. Being able to nip it in the bud is something you may wish to do.

Another could be change of policy concerning X content.

In either case, it would be easier to add something to the censor list, than it would be to hunt down everything.

  • Hi @Adam Howard :)

Woltlab censorship only prevents a post with x content can be sent. WoltLab censorship is not destined to replace words. Maybe a solution is add a new condition in bulk processing system. Adding a "Post with X content" condition you can delete/disable all this posts.

Thus my reason for making this suggestion ;)
