I figured I'd pick some people's brains. lol 
So next to the forums, the blogs are going to be the most important feature for me. This is the one official addon that its either right or its not.
So what do you hope to expect from the blogs in the next update?
Probably @Atlantis should jump in since he is one of the more experienced WL Blog users.
Or even @Teralios since he developed an extension plugin for more flexibility

For information: The new wcf version is upcomming and i think a new blog version also. In this case, i will wait on Blog 2.1. The current version of my plugin runs fine and have no knowing bugs. So you can used it.

I guess that @Adam Howard just wanted to know what we are all hoping to be improved by the next version.

At the moment, i am work on my bachelor-degree, so i have not many time and i can only fix bugs and make the bbcodes running with WCF2.1. I wait on Blog 2.1 and then i can see, what i miss in the blog. Then i can say, what new functions i will implement in the next time.
At the moment, i have a plan for a authors page. Also i have a idea for a function to create a "Journal" with Blog-Entries and pack a EPuB-Book with this Journal. Last 2 functions are very experimantal.

This sounds interesting. I'm curious if such a function will be inplemented in Netzwerk 's Mercury newssystem as well

It's a little idea from a seminar. We talk about publishing systems for journals, who are need a publishing per website and also on eReaders or other things. It's a point from my ba-work.
But for this point, it's not a simple extending of the blog with a function... In the projekt, i need real name support for authors and also nickname-support. Authors shorten index (for my real name like ka.), internal citation mapping, doi and urn-support.
This things are really experimental and i think not, that you will find this things in a "newssystem", it's to special for (semi)-professional publishing.

But simple citation should be possible.. same as caption for pictures
When i will finish my bachelor-degreee, i will write a complex functions-overview.
