Option to sort search results by likes

  • So there's this new like system in place but you can't really use them to filter content.
I suggest an option to sort search results by likes recieved and maybe an optional minimum of likes for a post/thread to be included in the results. Thus it will be easier to find useful Posts for a search topic which yields lots of results (for example in a support forum).

Well, at least it is not possible to "doom like" a post, since you cannot give multiple likes to the same content.

  • @Ryborg That is a problem with rating systems in general. By that logic likes shouldn't be used at all (which is a reasonable opinion, imo).
But since they are there and may be used in a responsible manner, they might as well serve a purpose. They might at least help to exclude the completely useless posts with lots of dislikes.
Also, posts by team members or other prominent users often actually do have a higher relevance.

If you find that likes do not adequately represent the quality of your search results, you can just not use this function.
