The wait is worth trust me, plugin developers had/have time to change their plugins to wcf 2.0, style designers as well. I predict a nice future for this new wbb/wcf, some good developers growth almost from 0 with 3.x/1.x.
I don't know if there was a time when woltlab had a better DEV community than it have today, someone correct me if ...

The wait is killing me, come on guys, get it released.

The price is ridiculous...$140 for a license and $250 for branding removal? That feels more like highway robbery to me.

Sorry to say, but I very much like Xenforo, to the same standard layout. Layout of modules, etc ...
Black Rider
It is still the same:
For basic changes you can simply change the color values. However if you want to create a unique style you have to use several CSS delaractions.

Thanks Alexander.
One more question. Will there be any improvement on the ability to design styles? I was somewhat disappointed in seeing that a lot of coding is still necessary for simple design styling. Nice to see a palette though.
Alexander Ebert
That was my fault, I missed the translation on this part and noticed it way before the new version went live. The issue seen above is fixed with the upcoming release 4.0.0 Beta 8 (ETA today).

Not sure what happened to the first quarter due for 2.0 but wondering if full English version is still going to be available? Thanks

Both of the forums I've posted to support the English language. On the first one, you can change the language in the upper right corner of the screen and in the second you just have to open the slider at the top of the page to change it.
In general, the software does pick the language of your browser. If it's a language the forum does not support, it will display the standard language, which is English in both cases. So every English does see the correct language if his or her browser is correctly configured. So you have the possibility to change the language by yourself as well.
The point with German screenshots is true. As far as I know it will be possible to upload screenshots for both German and English content. However, we are trying to support English as well as German in the same way, but we can't control 100% of external developers who upload their plugins. However, it is their part to describe their plugins.

But see my point - everytime I see any interesting plugin I have to beg for translation, on some third-party forums which doesn't even support English language (from what I see as unregistered, there is no option to pick English language at none of those two forums). I don't say its impossible or even hard, but its annoying.
Just place yourself in a position of a newbie-customer:
You see, users (at least not everyone) don't think at the first time to ask for the support, or maybe they does, but they don't want to waste their time to do so.
I would suggest you to hire volunteers which would like to translate the descriptions, I'm not saying you have to translate those long stories about the plugin, but just a few words on what certain plugin does.
This is just my point of view. But from my expierence I think that the more international and user friendly certain software is, the more attention it get and software is getting more popular, you can rule the world that way.
Regards.
Black Rider
And even if not: Just ask in any general support forum (e.g. here, at http://www.wbbaddons.de, http://kittblog.com and so on) for a translation. It's not that difficult.

I think 99% of the plugins in WoltLab's Pluginstore are also available in English. Even if it is no native English, it should be readable
pompex
I hope that the new Burning Board 4.0 will be more international and english-users friendly - not only from the forum side itself but from the plugins aswell, because I completly don't understand Deutsch as non German customer I would expect plugins to be well translated to the international (English) language aswell because now 80% of them are described and translated in Deutsch. This IS a huge problem, because you should rely not only on the native country customers.
Regards.
Alexander Ebert
I'm pretty sure there will be one, but I cannot guarantee it as of today.

OK, I know, BETA != Stable, but will you release an updater from BETA to STABLE?
