When you click on the "Edit" button on a post, then the box appears immediately so you can edit the contents but the editor toolbar takes approximately 5 seconds to load which makes it look slow.

Try updating to the latest version (20) and check if the problem still exists. I was not able to reproduce it with Firefox 20 (Windows).

I just updated to version 20, and it does seem faster now.. I rarely close the browser, unless needing to do Windows updates, hence not having Firefox version 20 sooner lol.
Edit, hitting reply, loads faster... but clicking "edit", still lags... 5 seconds at least.. I doubt it's my crappy internet connection though either, cause other things are loading quickly lol

Same problem here and it doesn't matter if it's Firefox on Windows or Mac OS X.

I'm not quite sure if I can fix this. In short, the browser is told to load the editor which itself loads all other stuff manually, causing the noticeable delay (so far only observed in Firefox).
