Google is funding a hosted platform for local news called Newspack. The CMS is made by WordPress. The platform is currently in testing phase and commercial rollout is expected by 2020. Until then it will be available for free for selected local news publishers.

It's just really weird that someone would come here to promote a competitor. Maybe the people at WoltLab don't care; I find it to be very disrespectful and I wouldn't appreciate it.

Well, i don't really see WordPress as a competition, woltlabs CMS is really only of interest if you use other commercial apps to, as standalone it hasn't even close the features compared to WordPress
And it isn't something woltlab needs to be ashamed of, it delivers a solid solution as a all from one hand software suite, but its ability as a CMS and a News Blog are limited.

Xenforo sucks too. Believe me, if I liked any other forum software I wouldn't be here posting. I'd be on another forum software official forum.

I have 5 xenforo licenses and I only use one actively. As soon as my Spanish phrases are done being translated I will have 0 active Xenforo Licenses.
I do not like Wordpress. I think every site uses them now. What happened to building stuff to be different, everything is the same now....
