Patch Day 2018-10-15

Stability releases (also known as "minor releases") aim to solve existing problems in the current version. Like every stability release, they do not introduce new features; It is strongly recommended to apply these updates.

Updating an existing installation (recommended)

Open your Administration Control Panel and navigate to Configuration > Packages > List Packages. Please click on the button Search for Updates located in the right corner above the package list.

Updating an existing installation (alternative)

Navigate to the downloads section in the customer's area, select the appropriate version and click on the Download Update button. Open your Administration Control Panel and navigate to Configuration > Packages > List Packages. Click on the tab Upload package and select the previously downloaded files and upload them one by one, the order does not matter.

Only significant changes are included in the list below, minor fixes and typos are left out.

The version numbers behind the list items indicate the lowest version that was impacted by this change. All later versions include the same fix in this update too, or have already been fixed in an earlier update.

• The subscription for blog catetories used a misleading phrasing. 3.1.6

WoltLab Suite Calendar

• The notification text for new participants was incomplete. 3.0.18+
• Improved the recognition of custom timezones in the iCal importer. 3.1.6

WoltLab Suite Filebase

• Editing a file could cause the comment section to be disabled due to an incorrect form default value. 3.0.18+
• Disabling the comment section now also hides the corresponding counter. 3.1.6

WoltLab Suite Forum

• Minor improvements of the phrasing. 5.0.18+
• Closing a thread from within the moderation panel was erroneous. 5.0.18+

WoltLab Suite Gallery

• Incorrect permission checks for tags when editing images. 3.0.18+
• Disabling likes did not remove the corresponding sort option. 3.0.18+
• Rebuilding albums might have set the album's last update time to an incorrect value. 3.0.18+
• Some permissions did not explicitly state that they are applied to images and videos alike. 3.1.6

WoltLab Suite Core: Importer

• Burning Board 4.x / WoltLab Suite 5.x
  • The calendar import was unable to properly handle the pre-WoltLab Suite calendar. 3.1.6

WoltLab Suite Core: Conversations

• Added the missing data-user-id attribute to the message sidebar. 3.1.6

WoltLab Suite Core: Infractions

• Minor improvements to the phrasing. 3.1.6

WoltLab Suite Core

• Media images embedded into WYSIWYG editors were sometimes not displayed. 3.0.18+
• The visuals in the avatar edit form in the admin panel were out of sync. 3.0.18+
• Navigating to page 2 or later in the members list caused the sort order to be discarded. 3.0.18+
• A previous change caused guests to be unable to submit messages. 3.0.18+
• Disabled the browser auto fill for the smtp username. 3.1.6
• Work-around for the broken iframes injected by embedded instagram photos. 3.1.6
• Better overflow handling for message change comparisions on mobile devices. 3.1.6

• Client network errors were displayed to end users instead of hiding them behind the debug flag. 3.1.6 pl 1

• Vimeo made changes to their public API, causing preview images to be missing. 3.1.6 pl 1
• Adding or editing images could fail if the Google Maps API is unavailable. 3.1.6 pl 1
