Yes, that is what vBulletin used to do with a mod I think.
It did - you could select one post or thread on the front end, and choose the actions "delete posts as spam" - this would then give you the option to trash all that user's posts and allow you to ban them at the same time - nothing was hard deleted in case of sabotage or user error.
