Error when Reporting posts: Unknown column 'enableBBCodes' in 'field list'

  • Affected Version
    WoltLab Suite 3.0

    Error Message

SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'enableBBCodes' in 'field list'

This is 100% reproducible, every time I report a post.

  • If I uninstall UZ Report Thread, the error goes away.

If I add the enableBBCodes field, I get the same error but for another field (enableSmilies). I can add all the missing fields manually but I would rather fix it properly.

Further, the error is initially reported as Use of undefined constant UZREPORT_GUEST - assumed 'UZREPORT_GUEST'

but the missing field(s) appears to be the bigger issue.

  • Ok this is getting more frustrating. How can these booleans have just disappeared from the table?

The options in "Settings" for a Post no longer include BBCode, HTML... any of these in fact (screenshot from 4.1):

These are normally accessed from the "More Options" but there is no "More Options" in 5.0, just Submit and Preview:

    I'm totally confused.

  • Seams like the plugin isn't WSC ready as those fields are removed on purpose..

Oh, ok, thank you. So is there no longer any option to enable/disable HTML, BBCode, etc, per post, in v5?

  • If I uninstall UZ Report Thread, the error goes away.

This seems to be a very old plugin of mine which isn't supported since years. Unfortunately, at that time, WCF- / WSC-version exclusions were not required/included. Hence it still 'lives' in WSC.

Please, uninstall it and throw it away ;)

  • Thank you for taking the time to reply, UdoZ .

That is a shame, as we have come to rely on it on my forum; we often have lengthy discussions about reports, and it is much easier to use a subforum, mainly because the editor functionality is so limited in the Reports system.

Would you mind if I hacked the source code of the plugin to remove those fields from the database updates?

I don't mind, but I strongly recommend not to do it. I guess that there are more problems with it. There are a lot of changes from WBB to WCF...

Check your conversations in a few minutes. I'll send you a replacement.

    Gruß, Udo
