Can you provide some more information please, such as:
- How was the quote inserted?
- If it was manually inserted, how did you provide the content?
- Do you remember the visuals being off in the editor?
- Browser- and version?
All these details greatly help me to narrow down things!
-
How was the quote inserted?
I clicked the " quote " button and then made cursor appear inside. Then used right click + paste
Browser- and version?
Latest Firefox on Ubuntu which is 52.0.1 ( 64 bit )
Do you remember the visuals being off in the editor?
I didn't understand the question.
If it was manually inserted, how did you provide the content?
copy from another web page and paste, all using mouse.

Are you able to reproduce this issue? I've tried the same exact steps (using only my mouse) and I have even copied the same exact paragraph from IP's website.

It happens randomly to me. I had some cases without this issue recently. For me, it dates back to at least 2 months.

I'll keep an eye on that. The new version ships with an updated editor version that improves the persistence of the caret position as well as pasting in general for Firefox. Possibly the issue has been solved this way already.
Please let me know if the issue is still around after the upcoming update.

An update for Firefox ?
No, the 3.0.4/5.0.4 version is somewhat around the corner

Happened to me again today. I clicked on the Quote button and pasted the text into it. Only a very small part of it got pasted in the quote area. Rest was out of it.
Just for your information.

It doesn't seem to like the list, it somehow completely throws it off. Thanks for letting me know, I'll work on it.
