Is there any way to add a plugin that will auto post a thread in a particular category when there is an announcement at Woltlab, WordPress etc ?

You can simply do that with the core feature RSS feeds.
Look in the ACP and set up a rss feed for the forum you want to follow.

Click on the RSS sign on the forum.
For announcemnts of products:

https://community.woltlab.com/board-feed/143/

for example.
