User Ranks Help - Possible Bug

I have a set of user ranks all ready to go from 0 to 10,000 there are about 8 of them.

2 of these ranks I am having issues with is newbie and banned.

The user rank for newbie is 0 to 50 and many others above 50.

The user rank for banned is set to 0 and a user group is assigned to it which is called banned users.

In theory I was expecting the forum member assigned to the user group (which has 3 points btw) banned users has his rank changed to Banned.

This is not working and by default Newbie appears. When Newbie is removed banned appears.

Why is this not working?

If you want some ranks to always be picked for some user groups regardless of any other conditions, you'll need to increase the priority of these groups. In your case you have to make sure that the banned group has the highest priority, so if your highest group so far is at 1000, then the banned group must go with at least 1001.

Tried 1001 did not work and have set this up to 5000 and still its not working.

I refreshed the browser a few times, removed history on the other and even checked on my iphone it remains the same as newbie

Try rebuilding users. ACP > Maintenance > Rebuild Data > Rebuild Users.
