Fontawesome icons for files

I just saw this thread [URL:https://community.woltlab.com/thread/246332-fa-f%C3%BCr-datei-icons/] in German with the label Won't be implemented but I don't speak German so I decided to create a thread in English, I think it would be great if we could choose FA icons for files (and categories) instead of images. Why this feature won't be implemented?
