    System Requirements

    WoltLab Burning Board 4.1 requires the following components to install and use it:

    Webserver with PHP 5.3.2+
    MySQL 5.1.17+
    20 MB free disk space
    Current Webbrowser (Chrome 40+, Firefox 35+, Internet Explorer 10+, Safari 8+)

    Installation Guide

    1. Download the installation archive onto your computer
    2. Extract the archive
    3. Upload the files "install.php" and "WCFSetup.tar.gz" to your webserver
    4. Start the installation by navigating your browser to the file "test.php"

    Compatibility with other WoltLab® products

    This release is compatible with Community Blog 2.0.9+, Community Calendar 2.0.3+, Community Gallery 2.0.3+ and WoltLab Filebase 2.0.9+.

    Usage and Support

    This evaluation version is not suitable for productive use, any use of this version in an productive environment is at your own risk. Updating from Burning Board 4.1 RC 1 to future versions is not guaranteed. You may use this version until April 30th 2015, if you wish to continue past this date, a valid Burning Board 4.1 license is required.

    Open your Administration Control Panel and navigate to System > Packages > List Packages. Please click on the button Search for Updates located in the right corner above the package list.

      • Introducing \wcf\system\request\FlexibleRoute to allow authors more freedom for differently shaped URLs
      • Changed URL generation from example.com/index.php?BoardList/ (case-sensitive) / example.com/index.php?boardlist/ (case-insensitive) to example.com/index.php?board-list/
      • Removed the option to force lower-case URLs, this will now be enforced unless URL compatibility mode (supporting WCF 2.0-style URLs) is enabled
      • URL controllers can now be virtually renamed, e.g. turning example.com/index.php?board-list/ into example.com/index.php?forums/
    • Exporting styles caused templates for different applications/plugins to be improperly separated
    • Disabled autofill of forms containing username/password in Chrome
