iPad and Redactor

    This is one of those times when I keep telling someone to report the issue, but they don't. As I don't have an iPad, I'm reporting it on their behalf

    Adam I replied to you and told you that I will and I also told you that I had this issue in 4.0 and reported it. I hadn't finished testing and when I did that post it was just before I went to bed. It is morning here in Australia and I hajust done ore testing I in that thread. If a moderator would like too check my posts and merge them here that would sav be great, Urgh lagging going to hit submit before I freeze!

    @Sherrie I do not think a staff member would notice your post in that large, endless, 35+ page thread, which was designed to only spam away. lol

    I also like to help report things quickly, as not to have any oversight or forgetfulness

    Adam, Alexander replied to it and told me to reload the page and try again, why would I report something when I hadn't finished testing? I like to know what I'm reporting before I report it. I'm finding this editor worse in Safari today, I didn't notice lagging last night or not being able to minimise my keyboard.

    and adam I tested in there because you were asking for people to post in it so instead of posting in two different threads I killed two birds with one stone :)

    Everything has its place.

    That thread was more or less a dumping grounds. Here is the actual place bugs should be reported.

    But no matter....

    Adam I do not have psychic powers that can tell me that I have a problem to report before I have such a problem!

    To think I am not going to report my issues is silly. On my 4.0 forum I have had to disable the editor for mobiles just to make it a bit more manageable, I want to use the editor and I want my members to use the editor so they're happy posting!

    Why wouldn't I want to report it! I want it fixed so I can upgrade :)

    I am cool, I wasn't posting in that thread to get feedback from anyone on my issues I was just posting in there because Adam wanted people to post in there so I figured I would do him a favour and post in there and whilst posting i may as well see if I can get the issues to happen which in all honesty I wasn't expecting to happen.

    I would've much preferred to have finished checking both browsers so I can rule out a particular browser being the cause and then report it on my computer where I won't have editing issues and can explain it properly in the one post, but never mind.

    Respectfully, @Sherrie I feel you are taking this too personally, but I am sorry you are.

    I posted it only as a means to an ends as to report a bug that I thought could use attention. And to report it quickly, as not to have any oversight or forgetfulness.

    This really, I believe is a non issue. But I'm sorry you feel somehow offended or upset.

    But I find this gets buggier the more I type. I'll paste some text and see if it freezes again, I'm using safari.


    Urghhh see how the Lorem ipsum text is above even though the cursor when I paste was here at the start of the line, it does this whenever I try to paste something. And already I cannot get to the submit button, so will copy and paste and try again!

    just wanted to add, I was just on TAZ which I believe uses an older version of redactor. I don't have the scrolling and keyboard issues there, just the freezing when backspacing.

    im having issues with the samsung tablet as well using chrome, after so much text I'm getting the same scrolling issues where I cannot scroll to the bottom of my post let alone scroll to the submit button. Each time I've used landscape so I will see if it happens in portrait.


    Hmm it seems I have the same pasting issues also as that link should be here.

    Do you have an app that you use in common with both tablets?

    I have a samsung and am having no issues. Someone else here has the same iPad and they too are having no issues. I'm just wondering if maybe there is a 3rd party app that you have installed interfering.

    iPad 4 with IOS 8.2?

    I cant speak for 4.1 but I know with 4.0 I had quite a few complaints from various iPads and iPhone. The one app that I know at least 2 of these members use like I do is instagram but its not on this tablet. I will try the iphone later which is only a month old and thus wouldn't have many apps installed.

    I am looking on this tablet and the only apps installed on both this and the iPad is chrome, twitter, youtube, candycrush, google and facebook
