Beta4 Installing Error: Use of undefined constant REGISTER_ACTIVATION_METHOD

  • Are you running nginx?

    Please always access the test.php first, it would've shown that your nginx configuration is flawed and needs to be fixed.

  • I guess it would be smart if the installer forces to use the test.php before the installation is going to start.

    Or, the install.php if executed first, automatically invokes test.php, maybe?
    Or maybe install.php tests the server environment by itself, and automatically, so that the room for errors is further minimized? Just some suggestions to the devs. They can decide what to take and what to leave out :)

  • same problem here and i emailed the hosting company "Godaddy" of my web hosting account and they told me the following :

    Our Linux hosting accounts run in CGI mode. When PHP 5 runs in this mode, the server variable element PATH_INFO behaves differently than under PHP 4. PHP 5 scripts can use the element SCRIPT_NAME in place of PATH_INFO to ensure the expected value is returned.
