Newly created Users album is not visible to themselves nor anyone else.

When a user creates an album, then checks several images and selects 'Move to Album(N)', when the album dialog appears, the newly created album doesn't show in the list.I ran the 'rebuild albums' maintenance job and the user logged out and back in; still no sign of the album. The record is definitely present in the sql db.

I tried the same test as the adm user (id 1) and the newly created album was visible in the list of albums.

One other piece of information that is hopefully useful. When adm user 1 creates albums, they are visible to adm user 2 also, but none of admin user 2's albums are visible to either adm user 1 or adm user 2.

  • Yes, I did, but it doesn't explain why both users can see admin 1's albums, but nobody (including admin 2) can see admin 2s albums.

  • Matthias, I am wondering if you are considering this an issue or not? Is there any further information that I can supply to assist troubleshooting?

The 2nd admin user can never see any of their created albums, but they can see the albums of the 1st admin user which seems to contradict what you say above.

Also, I wonder if it's significant that the only 2 users in the DB are both administrators with fully open wide permissions ...

  • Matthias,

OK, I'm a little dense, I missed that fact the first time you (patiently) explained it. Yes, the photo my admin is moving into an album was uploaded by admin 1.

Problem Solved. Now I just need to figure out how to let all photos be album-able by all users... Thank you.
