WoltLab Cloud Regular Expression for Validation of Usernames 1.0.0

Enforce username policies using a regular expression.

Requirements

  • You must have WoltLab Suite™ Core 3.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 or 5.5 installed.



Configuration

You can specify the regular expression in the ACP under Configuration ⇒ Users ⇒ Registration ⇒ Filter. Usernames are validated during registration, in the settings when changing the username, and when creating and editing users in the ACP.

  • Ich habe mir jetzt nur die Screenshots angeschaut und denke, dass dies für neue Mitglieder sehr verwirrend sein kann, denn es steht ja nur da, dass der Benutzername ungültig ist.

    Nur woher soll derjenige jetzt wissen, was falsch ist?
    Je nach Einstellung kann dies echt verwirrend sein.

    • Hier sollte der Administrator am besten entweder einen Hinweis auf der jeweiligen Seite einblenden oder die Sprachvariable wcf.user.username.description anpassen und darin erklären, welche Zeichen erlaubt / verboten sind.
