WoltLab Cloud Discord Widget Box 5.4.2

A native Discord Widget for WoltLab Suite.

Discord offers a widget to display information about your server, the people who're online on it and some more. However, this widget must be embedded as an iframe and has no customization options except for two color schemes.

With our Discord Widget extension for WoltLab Suite 3 you can seamlessly integrate your Discord server into your website. This box currently displays the following information:

• Server name
• Voice channels on the server
• List of members who are currently online on the server (including game information, if available)
• Display of user status (online, AFK, DND, offline)

If the server is accessible via a direct invitation, a button is displayed below the box to allow your users to connect to your server. The display of the widget can be managed by the internal rights managements for individual users (groups). The position (left or right sidebar) can also be set as desired.

Last but not least, the box is updated automatically every 120 seconds. A reloading of the page is therefore not necessary.

Requirements

In order for Discord widgets to read the information to be displayed, you must take care of a few things. To do this, right-click on the name of your server within the Discord app and select Server settings -> Widget. In the now opened dialog activate the option "Enable Server Widget". Then copy the displayed server ID. This is requested during the setup of this extension and is essential for displaying the widget.

Customization

For example, if the extension does not match your style or if you generally want to make display adjustments beyond the available options, you can do this very easily with the help of CSS. Because contrary to any iframe solution, our Discord Widget extension takes over all characteristics of the style you use and can be individually adapted to your personal needs and for every available style.

Limitations

The maximum number of users displayed is limited to 99 by Discord.
