WoltLab Cloud Fake Users and Activity 5.5.1

Easily create bulk simulated user accounts with online activity.

A big problem that not only new forums face is: There are no users online. This of course discourages new arrivals from registering, as the forum resembles an empty desert. The typical chicken/egg problem.


With this plugin you break this spiral of inactivity by generating authentic users who go online completely on their own and read topics in the forum and browse the site excitedly. This way the real members don't feel alone, become more active, and the registration rate of guests increases dramatically.

Guide

Creating fake users

1. Create a new user group to make it easier to identify the fake users themselves

2. Create new users at user -> user fake -> add user fakes (select the user group from step 1.)

Generate realistic names automatically

If you don't want to make up countless names yourself, you can use the new Darkwood API to generate as many realistic usernames as you like. To do so, proceed as follows

  1. Register at https://darkwood.design/ and open your profile
  2. Copy from the sidebar box the "API Key"
  3. go to Configuration -> Options -> User -> User Fake in the ACP and paste the "API-Key"
  4. Click the "Generate username" button when "Creating fake users".

Set activity rule

Different groups of fake users may show up in the forum at different times with different frequency.

  1. User -> User Fake -> Activity Rules -> Add Activity Rule
  2. Select the group in which the fake users are included
  3. Now the earliest (start period) and latest (end period) time for users in this group can be set
  4. Now the minimum and maximum number of users of this group that can be online at the same time is selected
  5. In addition, optional fake guests can be on the forum

Note: It can take up to 10 minutes until the first fake users go online after the initial configuration.

      I used a Laptop computer when logging in and establishing my User Name with your site. I Did not use a mobile device to log in.


      Also, when I tried establishing three "fake users" manually, I noticed there are only two "user groups" which show in the drop down menu items: Administrators and Moderators.


      Yet in User Groups (in the ACP) there are five types shown: Administrators, Moderators, Users, Guests, Everyone.

  • Ich habe ein Problem ich musste das Plugin wegen eines Fehlers deinstallieren und habe es jetzt wieder neu reingemacht. Jetzt ist allerdings das Problem das weder alte noch neue Benutzer angezeigt werden es ist garkeiner mehr von den Bots online ich kann da einstellen was ich will es tut sich nichts.


    Kann mir bitte jemand helfen??

  • Update nicht möglich

    Folgende Meldung kommt.

    Das Update erfordert eine Aktualisierung des Paketes „WoltLab Suite Forum“ (installierte Version: 5.3.18) auf Version 5.3.18, es wurden aber keine passenden Updates gefunden.

    5.3.18 ist aber installiert

    • Danke für den Hinweis. Die Fehlermeldung ist von WoltLab leider etwas irreführend. Im Plugin wurde fälschlicher Weise eine 5.3.21 vorausgesetzt (analog zum Core), welche es aber noch nicht gibt. Ich habe die Mindestvoraussetzung nun auf 5.3.18 gesenkt. Damit sollte es laufen. (wartet auf Freischaltung)

  • In der aktuellen Version lege ich User an. Mit dem Geschlecht weiblich aber es wird männlich.

    • Das habe ich auch noch auf dem Schirm. Aktuell sind aber Erweiterungen für andere Plugins dringender.

    • Das ist tatsächlich völlig zufällig welches Forum/Thema besucht wird und wie häufig.

    • Also steigen die Zugriffe unrealistisch Raketenhaft in die Höhe…

    • Nein, tun sie nicht. Es wird eine Aktivität simuliert. Diese ist nicht unrealistisch. Aber klar, wenn du nur 10 echte Nutzer hast und 100.000 Fakes, sieht das womöglich eigenartig aus.

    • Fakenutzer können in allen ihnen zugänglichen Foren auftauchen - genau wie normale Nutzer auch.

  • Ich habe eine Frage zu den "Fake Benutzern" ist es auch möglich, dass ich mich mit diesen selbst anmelde und ab und zu Beiträge unter deren Namen erstelle?

  • Wie kann ich die Fake User der normalen Benutzergruppe meiner User zuweisen? Ich kann die nicht auswählen!

    • Die wird automatisch zugewiesen.

    • Warum kann ich sie dann beim Erstellen auswählen und bei den Aktivitätsregeln auch?
      Da sind auch viele meiner Gruppen drin, aber nicht alle.

  • In meinem forum werden die benutze nicht mehr als online angezeigt ich erstellt hatte, und es wäre cool wenn ihr das irgendwie so hinkriegen würdet, dass ein paar der online benutzer so beiträge automatisch verfassen würden wenn das gehen?

  • Die Fake User sind manchmal da, manchmal ist garkeiner da. Ich wundere mich oft, dass keine User on sind, muss dann erst paar mal F5 drücken und dann sind sie da.

  • Update nicht möglich ! folgende Meldungg kommt Version 5.2 nicht instaliert , nur 3.1 vorhanden

      ich bin zwar nicht der Entwickler oder besitze das Produkt, aber ich kann dir trotzdem deine Fragen beantworten.


      1. Es erstellt richtige Benutzer die man wieder von Hand löschen muss.

      2. Ja kann man individuell einstellen.

  • Habe eben 12 Fakes erstellt und habe eingestellt das davon immer 6 online sind, dann habe ich eingestellt das 80% davon immer Themen lesen, aber es machen maximal 2. Was ist da los?

  • Trotz einer richtigen Einstellung der Aktivität und Benutzergruppe sind keine Fakeuser im Forum zu sehen. Was läuft da falsch?

    Es sind 5 Benutzeraccounts von mir (von Hand) erstellt. Diese - nur diese 5 - sollen als Fakenutzer unterwegs sein. Warum sind sie das nicht. Habe den Cronjob von Hand auch einmal schon gestartet.

      Das ist dein Fehler. Du musst die Fakeuser über das vorgesehene Formular erstellen.

    • Die Accounts stammen aus dem WBB 4.1. Für das Update des WBB 4.1 auf WSC 3.1 musste ich ja das Plugin entfernen. In diesem Fall war es wohl eher dein Problem, denn mit dem Start des WSC 3.1 war dein Plugin lange Zeit noch nicht aktuell, oder irre ich mich da? ;) Danke für den Hinweis im Supportforum! :)
