This plugin allows your users to create threads that are hidden or restricted to only specific members.

The highlights:

  • This plugin allows your members to create hidden threads, threads restricted to specific members, or both (settable per User Group)
  • When allowing members to create threads restricted to specific members, you can also choose how many members they can allow in each thread
  • For purposes of moderation and safety, you can also set specific User Groups to have permission to see all Access Restricted threads, regardless of the settings of the thread
  • Access Restricted Threads don't show up in Latest Posts, Hot Threads, or other similar sections (for obvious reasons)

Ohh, I like this plugin but unfortunately I'm getting strange sql errors after installing it and had to uninstall it to be able to post in my forum.

Decided to give a shot on debugging the issue I have and found an amusing thing. The install.sql file on the download references to the wbb1_ prefix which is hardcoded.

This is a good plugin in my opinion but the hardcoded db prefix will (maybe?) make it fail for a number of forums.

No, prefixes in the install.sql will be replaced through the installation with the right one. I would recommend to send the sql errors by conversation to the developer of this product. He will be able to help you with that.

I've responded to your Conversation. :) In short, I noticed the problem recently in my own use of the plugin but it's non-trivial to fix, unfortunately. It touches pretty much the only thing in the WCF framework that I've seen that isn't quite consistent/flexable enough to make the problem fixable easily.

Unfortunately, I'm really deep in another project right now, and can't sit down properly with the plugin. If needed I can provide a refund, but if it's something that's not terribly inconvenient, I'll be much more able to fix it in a couple weeks.

Sorry my english is not the best. The language from the plugin is this in german or english? It would be great it would be in german. Mein language in my forum is german, too. :)
