WolLab Suite Core sends manual emails correctly, but instant notifications appear as Pending.
Instant notification for a reaction on a post has not been generated either.
The subject size is correct?
Hello,
Notifications are added to the background queue which is an asynchronous process. This queue is statistically executed once every 10 requests with one immediate execution triggered by an action that added something to the queue. However, for isolated or testing sites this doesn't work reliable.

There are no email notifications for reactions. My bad, sorry. 
The subject size is correct?
Yes, the subject is truncated to a fixed length. The motivation is to reveal enough information to identify the purpose of an email, but short enough to cut off potentially confidential content. For example, consider a notification for a new conversation which includes the title of the conversation in the subject line.
