Star rating plugin with pros and cons

Hi there,

I write a lot of review articles and having a star rating plugin that also adds review snippet (review) structured data to my articles would be a great addition for me.

Also, having another feature that shows a box similar to the following article for pros and cons would be great:

I believe the most practical implementation would be via BBCodes.

At the moment I am using WLS 5.5 but I would definitely need it also for v6. Any ideas or offers?

You can implement this with own BB-Codes if you have some knowledge of HTML and CSS:

I have built a time ago a somewhat ugly solution for me, but it works so far:

This is technical a flexbox-wrapper with some fomated lists.

usage:

This way you can also build a ratingdisplay.

Structured data can be added via the build in BB-Code "Unsave HTML"

With a little adventure desire you don't need any plugin for it.

Thanks for the info and the screenshots.

My main problem was the CSS part. The main box (in your case FlexBox) in responsive mode was not aligning the way that I wanted.

Is there is a posibility that you also share your CSS? (if not possible here, via a private message?)

No problem, i can share the CSS or a my two BB-Code-Plugins. Maybe it is possible to build a simple rating-bb-code. Stars from 1 to 5 or what do you think?

In this webiste is it a free text, that means you can write anythig. Here I wanted to write 9/10 but I forgot

I thing even nicer would be expert ratings like what test.de or testsieger.de put on products.... like "sehr gut" and so on.

So I think if this rating (expert rating) would be a free text, it will give the writer more freedom.

What do you think ?

Tom, can you please post the CSS part too so this thread is complete? Would certainly help some who can not do so much with CSS.

Thank you. This is a custom plugin that extends the article form:

So I can place content outside of the article text and I don't need BB-Codes anymore. Since I'm not a developer, the development progress is slow and I can't say if and when it will be released because there is still some work to do.

But the BB-Codes are ready and i will post the code today.

I would definately buy your plugin.

However, I would recommend you to use 5 level for ratings instead of 100. Users are more familiar with 5-Star ratings more.

But all in all I agree with a.chakery , your website seems very professional

What would you prefer? Is it enough to be able to give a rating from 1-5 or would you also like to have individual criteria that you can rate? I have 5 criteria from which then in the end a rating arises.

By the way, Google converts this into a 5-star rating:

An adjustment from 1-100 to 1-5 is so far no problem.
