When installing WS 3.0.0 beta, there is DOT (.) in front of installed directory, because it is looking weird 
so i took liberty to remove this dot. Is it OK?

The dot is okay in theory (it means the current directory), but seems to have caused issues for some users. Nevertheless, you can safely remove it.
