i think users who uses style chooser shouldn't be forced to change to that specific style everytime they login feels clumsy. i know that there is a plugin for this but i feel like it should be implemented

It was meant as a temporary switch to try out styles that don't stick forever, like quickly trying them out. I can't exactly tell who came up with that idea in first place (it works like this since 2009), but we're changing it with the next major anyway.

The theme switcher is still there, but the selection will then be permanent.
