WoltLab Suite 3.1 puts great emphasis on improving the commenting system that is used in many places across our software, including but not limited to the wall in user profiles or the comments on images and videos in WoltLab Suite Gallery.

In this article we introduce the new trophy system and XML sitemaps in WoltLab Suite 3.1.

With version 3.1 of WoltLab Suite Gallery, we have added support for videos. In addition to images, users will now also be able to either directly upload videos or link videos from video platforms like YouTube. For links to video platforms, WoltLab Suite Gallery 3.1 is able to automatically fetch video information like the videos' thumbnails.

The version Beta 2 of WoltLab Suite is already on the horizon, and while we round up the finishing touches, it is time to present yet another component of the upcoming release. This is the second thread in the series of five threads on the biggest changes.

Menus are the key of almost every website, they provide quick access to different sections or provide general information apart from the current content viewed by the visitor. WoltLab Suite Core 3.0 provides the ability to add and manage custom menus that can be placed anywhere on the page using the recently introduced box system.

WoltLab Community Framework 2.x introduced dashboard boxes as a unified way to place additional content on different pages. It did that job just fine, but there were still a few more things they could've done to provide more flexibility and comfort to the administrator. Creating and managing custom pages is among the major additions shipped with WoltLab Suite Core 3.0. We would like to provide a brief overview of the system's capabilities and what you can easily achieve in the most user-friendly way.

It's been about half a year since we shared our plans and ideas with you, and we've achieved a whole lot during this period.

In the past few months we've extensively evaluated the future of Community Framework and agreed on a list of changes and improvements that will take place. Despite its utter importance for all our products, it always had to take a step back and work in the background, revealing itself only through the administration control panel.

Despite all these new and exciting features added to the Filebase with version 2.1, we also took the time to evaluate existing features to see if there is room for improvement. There have been a few changes that aim to improve the user experience and general handling of the Filebase. Potentially most interesting is the option to limit statistics to reflect only changes in a specific time frame to prevent statistics becoming almost static over the time.

WoltLab Filebase 2.1 adds a lot of useful features to file entries, including but not limited to labels and the ability to offer files for purchase. We want to provide an overview of some new features as well as a more detailed introduction for each one below.

We have turned numerous suggestions from our customers into useful enhancements and new features that will be shipped with version 2.1 of WoltLab Gallery. They improve both the user experience and the abilities offered to uploading users - below is a list of the most important improvements we've made.

Events already feature the ability to comment on them and discuss certain aspects in beforehand. This is extended by using the optional Burning Board integration which causes threads to be automatically created when events are being created. We consider this to be an important aspect and would like to introduce you some of the efforts we've taken to improve this even further.
