Few Pre-Sale Questions

Hey guys, I'm going to be purchasing Burning Board very soon. Been using the lite one and I just like how easy to use it is.

A few questions I have though. I have some "paid" themes on my radar that would fit my forum but it's mostly in the German language. I have no problem with this there is Google translator after all but my native language is English. Would purchasing these come with English language too? I know it's more of a sales question for the theme designers but you know I thought I may get a better response here.

Also, how easy is it to add plugins? Do you have some English tutorials I could use? I see there are loads of plugins available to choose from which is great. Also, does Burning Board have any plans in the future to have a social media presence within the software? That's the only thing I see missing but it's not such a big deal with the plugins you have at your disposal here at Burning Board. But I do know your working on Burning Board 4 so I thought I might as well ask that question too as once I've made the decision am going to be with this software for the long-run.

Over all, very impressed with this software. And thanks for taking the time to read this and answer my questions.

All the best,

Craig. :)

Themes don't need any language pack. The can be used in every language. ;)

Do you mean by "add plugins" to create plugins by yourself or do you mean how to install them in your forum?

Hey, thanks for the quick response. I just mean how to go about installing them. Is there some documentation? I'll easily get used to the process but if not I'll just experiment with the core mechanics of the lite version and hopefully it will give me the experience I need moving forward.

Thanks for your support, much appreciated. :)

Practically you don't need any. It's just a matter of uploading in the package management in the ACP or also there searching the package servers and clicking "install". Removing is also as simple. Just click "deinstall" in the list of installed packages.

You only have to take care about the compatibility! There are Plugins & styles for WBB 3.0, or WBB 3.1 or WBBLite 2.0 and WBBLite 2.1 …

There is no documentation since that point is widely self explanatory. But i think 'll add a section about that in the readme-file of WBB 4 …

You may also test installing and deinstalling plugins in WBBLite 2, because that's also possible with it. There are lots of free plugins in the plugin-store to test the function with. Just give it a try! :-)

It's very easy to install plugins.
Just go to System -> Package list -> Install package. There, you can install downloaded packages. They will be automatically unpacked and installed. ;)
