In this forum each thread has its own language. Messages written in a different language then the threads language may be deleted. Every user should observe the rules of orthography. Spelling mistakes can be resolved by using the preview and edit functions. Please proof-read your messages because words that are misspelled cannot be found through the search and might not be understood by others. If you write a lot of text punctuation and the use of paragraphs are required.
Advertisements for products, services or content of other companies or persons is forbidden. Furthermore offers for sale / to buy are not wanted as well as the request for employees or members except the reply to a direct question in a thread or post.
The forum is no advertising medium. Links to external internet content in the signature are therefore forbidden, except relevant websites (these need to have a connection to WoltLab GmbH and its products). The signature must not contain more then two links with the standard font size. Images in signatures are forbidden (except smileys) as well as the use of the following BBCodes: quote, php, code. Signatures that break these rules will be deleted or disabled permanently in the case of repetition.
A users own website can be linked with the provided website field in your user profile. Additional links in your signature or posts are forbidden.

Many questions have already been answered in this forum. These answered can be accessed quickly by using the search function. To use the search might be a little extra work but has a big advantage: In many cases it is the fasted way to get an answer to a problem.
The title of the thread should be meaningful - words such as "help" or "urgent" should not be used in any way and will be deleted. The message should contain as many necessary details as possible. It is very time consuming to find out important information afterwards. In case of error messages or questions about problems the following information should be covered in your message:
Questions about the current status of an order or lost member data should be written only by e-mail to WoltLab. Furthermore it is not allowed to publish content of e-mails from WoltLab.
Private messages must only be used for private, non-public topics. We do not answer any support questions via private message (including messages that link to support questions). It is forbiddeen to send advertisements by private message.
Users that break these rules have to take into account that they might be banned temporarily or permanently. Threads or post that break these rules will be deleted without any comment.
