Upgrade WBB Lite 2.1.x to WBB 3.1.x

Hi guys,

Is doing an upgrade from Lite to WBB 3.1 an easy process?

Thanks in advance,

You can do it very easy with the automatic update in your admin control panel ;)

You installed the update? Sure you aren't installed a new instance of a WBB in your WCF? Did you a backup before you started the update?

Yes installed the update. But the update was saying */public_html/forum was already an application installed and had to choose another path. So I chose forumx and now its all dead.

You installed a second instance not an update. ;)

You need only the automatic update to update your forum from WBBLite 2 to WBB 3.1.

argh. I thought I had to download the update.tar.gz and install it with the package manager...
How do I make an backup of my plugins and themes I installed earlier?

Ok Solved it. I have just installed a new clean WBB 3.1.x and imported the DB from the WBB Lite 2.x version. Although I had to do a lot of stuff again from scratch its all up and running again.
