  • 6th of July 2010

    The new website is being released. It sets new standards in design, usability and customer functions. The licensing system has been changed to be more logical and simplified. For the first time all customers can now benefit from our support with the newly introduced single support-tickets. The new WoltLab® Bugtracker™ was also started with the new website, it will replace some of the support forum areas in the future.

  • 1st of January 2010

    Marcel Werk is now the single owner of the WoltLab® GmbH. Arian Glander leaves the team on his own wish after 8 years to work on new challenges.

  • 14th of October 2009

    WoltLab® Burning Board® 3 is being released in its second version 3.1 and brings over 300 new functions and improvements after a relatively short beta-phase. This version is a great success from the start and is being enthusiasticly accepted by our customers. Burning Board® 3.1 includes also the new profile with gallery, guest book and blog.

  • 20th of February 2009

    Our new calendar software WoltLab® Community Calendar™ is being released in its first final version. Dates und events can be managed with it within the community. It brings with it an extraordinary large feature set.

  • March 2008

    The first beta-version of the download platform WoltLab® Community™ (WCom) goes online. It is especially designed to serve as exchange and support point for extensions for our community products. Shortly after opening the WCom is filling up with loads of extensions. Users of the WoltLab Support Forum are automatically registered in the WCom.

  • 25th of July 2007

    The third version of the forum software WoltLab® Burning Board® 3 is being released, after the public beta has ended. The software builds upon modern web standards, innovative programming techniques and is largely accessible as well as multilingual.

    At the same time new licenses have been introduced which contain official technical support for the first time. Since then customers have the opportunity to ask the developers of the software technical questions directly through the new ticket-system. Since then user problems are being treated much better then before, also because of the short answering time-frame being offered.

  • 16th of May 2006

    WoltLab celebrates its fifth anniversary and looks back onto its throughout successful history. All customers are offered a birthday special where they are offered rebates untill the release of the new version 3 of WoltLab® Burning Board® 3.

  • August 2005

    WoltLab is growing further and moves from Berlin-Schöneiche directly to the center of the german federal capital. The new company location is much easier to reach both for customers as well as the staff. The new office in an old factory, protected as historical monument, in the district of Kreuzberg in Berlin offers much more room.

  • 21st of January 2005

    The third version of the forum software WoltLab® Burning Board® 3 is being announced. It will bring most innovative improvements and set new standards in many aspects.

  • 3rd of January 2005

    The year 2005 starts with the release version 2.3 of the forum software Burning Board®. It contains a whole bunch of detail improvements e.g. at the private messaging and the attachment system.

  • 27th of July 2004

    Burning Board® is being released in version 2.2 and is again loaded with many new features. It is also the first forum system with an integrated WYSIWYG editor which works in all major browsers. Many requests of our customers have been implemented and make the new version a fine complete solution.

  • February 2004

    The redesigned company webseite goes online and offers not only an up-to-date design but also a completely overworked structure to improve the communication with our customers.

  • Summer 2003

    WoltLab moves to Schöneiche, a suburb of Berlin.

    Contrary to the worldwide economic situation WoltLab is being rebranded as WoltLab GmbH.

  • 10th of April 2003

    The largest function update for the software WoltLab® Burning Board® yet is being released with version 2.1. The system's background is also being enhanced with this update, the template engine is the most important innovation of many others.

  • 21st of March 2002

    The completely overworked version 2.0 of the forum software WoltLab® Burning Board® is being released. It stands out through its largely extended range of functions while the performance was further improved.

  • 13th of November 2001

    Launch of the »Werk und Glander GbR« by Marcel Werk und Arian Glander to give WoltLab a more professional background in the future.

  • 10th of September 2001

    The first version of the guest book software WoltLab® Burning Book™ is being released free of charge.

  • August 2001

    Due to the great demand of the users development of a largely extended version 2 of the forum software WoltLab® Burning Board® is being started.

  • 16th of May 2001

    The first public version of the forum software WoltLab® Burning Board® version 1 Beta 2 is being released free of charge for all users. Within a short time new versions with a larger range of functions as well as greater stability follow up.

  • Early in 2001

    The development of a board software for the private use of Marcel Werk and Arian Glander leads to the founding of »WoltLab«. The forum software WoltLab® Burning Board® is being offered to other users free of charge soon after that.
